Welcome to General Chat - GAW Community Area
This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.
Based on its evolving needs and plenty of user feedback, we are trying to bring some order and institute some rules. Please make sure you read these rules and participate in the spirit of this community.
Rules for General Chat
-
Be respectful to each other. This is of utmost importance, and comments may be removed if deemed not respectful.
-
Avoid long drawn out arguments. This should be a place to relax, not to waste your time needlessly.
-
Personal anecdotes, puzzles, cute pics/clips - everything welcome
-
Please do not spam at the top level. If you have a lot to post each day, try and post them all together in one top level comment
-
Try keep things light. If you are bringing in deep stuff, try not to go overboard.
-
Things that are clearly on-topic for this board should be posted as a separate post and not here (except if you are new and still getting the feel of this place)
-
If you find people violating these rules, deport them rather than start a argument here.
-
Feel free to give feedback as these rules are expected to keep evolving
In short, imagine this thread to be a local community hall where we all gather and chat daily. Please be respectful to others in the same way
Rules For the rest of the Site also accessible on the sidebar.

My son is in the NG, he just came back from a yr deployment. But before they released him, they made him get the flu shot, said they wouldn't release him unless he took it. I know, I know... I told him he should still have refused it, but he is going through a lot right now and he's been gone for 13 months. He got the shot a week before he got home, and just started showing signs of sickness the day he got home. I'm pissed! Now he's fighting off being sick, in the meantime, he's only been home a few days and has already spread the "sickies" around the family. Since the night he got home and told me, I started making everyone take ivermectin, quercetin, zinc, K2 (180mg), D3 (10,000 iu's), vitamin C, echinacea, usnea (herbal antibiotic for sinus infection)... what am I missing frens??
Old homeopathic trick for a sick bladder (the flu) is pear nectar. It's so sweet it triggers the body to "dump everything". Not juice. Nectar. Most supermarkets have it. I know Goya makes some.
FYI - when your bladder is sick/not able to properly remove toxins, the body will circulate the toxins around the body, like it's juggling them until you can eliminate them. The toxins settle and cause aches and pains all over the body...
Anyway...pear nectar. Drink as much as you can to give the body a "push". It's tasty... albeit gritty.
HCQ is anti viral drug so maybe that'd help too..and try GROUNDING and get some sun
I thought about it, but I've made them take so much already I was afraid they'd rebel, lol. I do have some that I got from that online pharmacy, I'll have to see if it will push them over their limit of supplements 😂 Son and daughter have just been taking whatever I put in front of them, especially if I tell them how it will help them, husband is another story 🙄 he says I've taken enough already, lol. So far... knock on wood... I haven't gotten sick yet, but I've been taking all those supplements on the daily regularly except the ivermectin, I only take that maybe once a week, and echinacea & usnea, only when I need them.
A crazy simple and effective help is saline nose spray. Cheap east and benign yet helps clear nose and sinuses very quickly. Bottom shelf at grocery store in allergy/cold aisle.
