I don’t have sauce, but the rods of god mounted via satellites is a longtime suspected secret govt project. Basically same thing as these Russian weapons, just already poised in orbit above them.
Doesn’t sound like the US really did anything. The Star Wars plan?? This quote was taken from a follow up post on X.
“Physicist and weapons expert Dr. Ted Postol in fact was surprised to find that the Oreshnik weapon resembled a system he had envisioned and proposed 30 years ago at a high level meeting that no one took seriously as feasible. Follow his thinking over the last several days in these interviews:

We heard about the Rod of God back in Bush Sr's administration. The Americans were developing it, or so they said at the time. Never saw it in action though. Just big talk, and not much since then. Also, the world has changed.
TBH, I think that everything went down-hill because of stupid 'military interventions' based on lies. What did they manage to achieve? Iraq is only just beginning to scrape itself out of a hole after twenty years. Libya is a sh*tshow, and Afghanistan is reconstructing the Taliban as a legitimate force, who are negotiating with the Chinese, the Indians and the Russians to build roads and railways. Was that USA's intention - to keep out the 'others'? The excuse was that mysterious cloth-heads who supposedly flew aeroplanes into the Pentagon and twin-towers, were 'hiding' in Afghanistan. So, USA had to go in. Twenty years later, they 'had to leave'. What a mess.
Russia has just taken the Taliban OFF their terror-watch-list, BTW.
Just as USA makes enemies, Russia makes nice.
Also, throw in a good measure of succesive USA administrations putting all the research eggs in one basket, re: F35. It still hasn't managed to resolve itself.
These aren't as "new" as he thinks.
He's way behind on the discovery of these so-called "rods of God"
Sauce, s'il-vous-plaît.

It's been criticized here, although likely with limited knowledge (and judgement).

They are new in that they've now been used in war. Nukes were being worked for a long time before demonstrated in war.
I understand, but in his bulletin yesterday, he said he just discovered the technology entirely
I'm a daily listener. He might have said that, but I don't recall. He did have several expert interviews with people who understand the technology
