Huge part of homeschooling is being politically active. It scales with the responsibility with the age of the kids. But when you remove driving them to/from government school, not paying for sports ball equipment, not paying for sports ball events/all weekend tournaments a family has some time to invest in political calls and visits.
Everyone needs to watch the Supreme Court hearing this Wednesday (12/4/24); United States v. Skrmetti. This is where the states can remove your children from your care for going against "gender affirming care". What would then stop them there and not expand to home schooling.
Until they say you can't do that.
Then the problem comes back.
You need to take a firmer stance than that, always.

I would consider that firmer than "fuck right off", which is a lot closer in line to what I was saying than just lip service.
