Epocrates Drug Database says w/regards to Ivermectin:
LACTATION
Clinical Summary
May use while breastfeeding; no known risk of infant harm based on limited human data; no human data available to assess effects on milk production.
Assuming ivermectin is passed through the milk, this medicine is a “recognized as safe” wonder drug! There is much evidence of safe use for several unique disorders. Your d-i-l would be protecting her baby, as well as, treating herself!
Limited data indicate that ivermectin is poorly excreted into breastmilk after oral administration. Amounts ingested by the infant are small and would not be expected to cause any adverse effects in breastfed infants over 7 days of age.
We wouldn't know. None of us will test ourselves. But the flu going around here is a pretty miserable one, regardless, that lasts 2 weeks. She is worried because her baby is only 2 months old and may not be able to cough, yet.
It is one of the safest drugs on the market, and by the time baby gets it through breast milk, there is no chance of overdosing for baby, because it will be at a concentration already diluted to therapeutic levels - i.e., entire mother's circulation vs. one dose.
Even an adult won't overdose until they take massive 10X or more doses. I have taken double doses before with no ill effect.
What is the name of those drs that was giving out info for covid? I know one was arrested. Was Judith her first name. They had a phone hotline to call in for over the phone consultations.
Here is an article that covers ivermectin in breastfeeding mothers, it’s fine as long as the baby is older than 7 days. https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0001706X19312987
We inject our pregnant and lactating cows with ivermectin in spring to get rid of parasites, for decades now, no side effects to mamas or calves. Of course cows aren’t people 😁

I took ivermectin while breastfeeding it was fine. I don't know if it's recommended.
So good to know. Wonderful. Thanks.

Yes. Anti parasitics will still work. If you have any worries you can always lower the active dose
Thanks. Appreciated.
Why take a chance? Is she really really sick with covid?

Great! Thanks. I am so glad we had this drug to use. My dad is also on it for cancer, and it worked.

If not, they match pretty closely those descriptions, but I'd love to hear of others that have been doing similar things!
That’s them!!!! Wonderful drs.
Passed it on to my daughter in law. Thanks!
