People buy phones every year?
That was my thought too. I've had my mobile for 8 years now. Still works fine. My wife treats hers a bit more haphazardly but still lasts her 3-4 years.
Some young people in Switzerland sometime change it twice a year: they are so neglectful and don’t care if they break it.
I think that was the pattern maybe 5 or 7 years ago.
But the tech in phones is so comparable now, even between the highest and lowest priced models, there's really no reason to upgrade every year.
The law of diminishing returns.
Unless you buy iPhones... Then you're still upgrading with every shiny new product they shovel out.
