Germany took in over 1 million Syrians supposedly fleeing Assad in 2015/6. Today they said thank you to Germany by marching through Essen’s Christmas Market shouting “Allau Akbar”.

"Following the fall of Syrian ruler Bashar al-Assad, Green Party European politician Anton Hofreiter has warned against taking tougher action against Syrian refugees in Germany. “It is completely unclear what will happen in Syria now,” he told the Funke Mediengruppe newspaper. “Considerations of changing our migration policy after the fall of Assad and taking tougher action against Syrian refugees are completely out of place.” https://www.zeit.de/politik/deutschland/2024-12/syrien-umsturz-debatte-fluechtlinge-status-deutschland
The other left-wing parties (i.e. all but the AfD) don't want that either. We Germans would rather prepare ourselves to take in the next waves of refugees from Syria. Then we can rehearse the foreseeable new civil war in Syria here.
When asked whether he would go home now, one Syrian simply said that the economic situation there was not so good. The German taxpayer is just better.
Time for crusades 2.0
Then we take Berliiiiiin [echoes]
[Edit, the Mujihadin in Syria are backed by CIA, MI6 and Mossad. Because they are 'moderate' (rainbow) 'rebels'. Also there are battles of Turks (NATO) vs. Kurds (USA)]. Those pesky Kurds are also backed by USA, so a fun little couldron of who fights who, and other general mayhem.
Russian Navy knew to stand off, near Italy, for Naval Exercises, announced just days before press-go-time. IMO something was up.
Note that the Turks headed straight for Idlib and Aleppo, but 'made some friends' along the way amongst the Kurds, who don't like little Ottomans coming on their oilfields.
I hope Christians have the sense to make their way to Tartus. The reason I say that, is because I believe the Russians may be the only hope for Syrian Christians.
Then there was Assad's family visit to Moscow, which, in retrospect might have been his making arrangements for asylum, complete with plans to turn the spooky transponder off, while in a low flight path. The Russians have today made a statement about making arrangements for safe passage for Russians - while the rhetoric is still semi-peaceful towards obvio foreigners (i.e. not Sunni with a Black arm/head band). They were in Syria at the request of Assad, to provide air-cover, but Assad is no longer in power. Their naval base is still there, but most ships are already not there.
I have not seen much about this, but iMO It's a Trap for NATO and Israel, given the dirty war they have been fighting. I think so, because Israel seems to be bristling against the Jihadists, all of a sudden, and that could prove to be embarrassing. Furthemore, we are all told to accept this Jihadi as the new Prime Minister. The West backs this guy, because Assad must go, etc. Nothing to see here, oh look that shooter guy has muscly chest.
Further to that hypothesis: All the world's filth and mercenaries were seen to be concentrating in Idlib for months, by Iran's surveillance, and yet, they only warned Assad (possibly they mentioned it to Lavrov, too). But, Iran could not really be seen to 'invade'; Syria, without Israel popping off. So it was a matter of "who's going to confront this mob? And what a juicy target.
What's happening now, is that the coastal area is still fairly unscathed, so I predict a Russian rescue for soon-to-be-Syrian-Russians. But, the Jihad is surrounded, and they still haven't got the oilfields. There will be a pushback.
