I do disagree with the idea police in this country are the most patriotic people in our country. look at all the dc and capital police scumbags from j6 as an example of what I mean...
my problem is those that feel they are that violate peoples constitutional rights or knowingly allow their compatriots to, all under the color of law...
As a retired LEO about 10 years ago, lately i have seen too much horrible policing. Even though it's probably a minority of 20 percent or sonof the cops it's being made evident that poor hiring practices, poor liberal policy, wokeness amd a general willingness in some places for the police to be allowed to act like tyrants has tainted the entire group. It's like we regressed to the 70s again. It really needs to be fixed. I still know some good ones but they group as a whole doesn't get the patriot lable to me. The patriot is the guy stands up for freedom, not the guy who uses authority to get those they dont like or agree with politically. I point out the fbi, atf, dea, d.c. police who instigated on Jan 6 etc.
As someone who just left with 11 years as a Detention Deputy, I completely agree. That's actually one of the reasons why I left... And not to step on any toes, but I feel the same way about the military (hence law enforcement being labeled as para-military). I do believe that the majority are patriotic, but it's hard to respect the position when you know that it's ran like a business under the guise of working for the people. As a field training officer, I tried to institute change that would've undoubtedly helped inmates as well as staff, but no one in leadership cared. I now know that they didn't care because the majority of the decisions were only made to keep the big contracts coming in and to increase command staff's wages 10 to 15k every year.
DC police are probably not hired to promote justice. There are many police around the country who, while not exceptionally oppressive or unlawful, are hired merely to create revenue streams with speed traps. There are many police who compliantly enforce unlawful statutes, believing them to be the law. There are surely still many police who value Justice and righteousness. There will be different degrees of missing the mark and promoting the law within every office and even within each officer.
Police, government officials, and ordinary citizens should not be separate classes of people, but equals, all before the law. We will get back to that, it’ll just take time.
I do think that probably the vast majority of police do consider themselves patriotic, they just don’t necessarily know what it should mean, or if they do, how they could promote those ideals within the system they find themselves.
Yeah, I think my reply covered that group. They’ll probably be on our side when this all shakes out.
It does amaze me that there are people who seem ready to sacrifice their lives for justice and freedom, yet still hesitate when faced with losing their paychecks or running afoul of that system’s “justice” mechanisms.
Not that I’ve braved them, just that it would seem they’d be better equipped mentally to do so. I’m quite positive that some of them hold their peace strategically, or trying to take advantage of infiltration being able to work both ways.
😆 well it was kinda' obvious that this guy they were parading around as the today's version of him didn't know how to play 🏀
note to deepstaters: make sure when changing these sick pukes out to have them be half way believable. This, ... was not half way. Not even a little. I also like the way they "allow" these guys/idiots/nitwits wtf-ever to just walk away from gazillion dollar contracts like it's nothing and call it stepping away - sure, ..sure it's normal. 🙃
It is going to be way interesting to see if anything comes out about the school that LeBron founded in his hometown...LeBron Leadership Academy or something like that. I think that place could have a lot of secrets, just as Oprah's school in Haiti probably has a lot of secrets.

Some are; some aren't.
It would be damned interesting to know what the percentages are.

King James? So dishonorable.
Best line ever—> LeBron you’re a f***ing scumbag and I hope you get locked up in the same cell with Diddy.”
I wish he would tell us how he really feels. 😈

For those who haven't seen it.

The brown hole James is more popular than Diddy.
It is growing!
