Welcome to General Chat - GAW Community Area
This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.
Based on its evolving needs and plenty of user feedback, we are trying to bring some order and institute some rules. Please make sure you read these rules and participate in the spirit of this community.
Rules for General Chat
-
Be respectful to each other. This is of utmost importance, and comments may be removed if deemed not respectful.
-
Avoid long drawn out arguments. This should be a place to relax, not to waste your time needlessly.
-
Personal anecdotes, puzzles, cute pics/clips - everything welcome
-
Please do not spam at the top level. If you have a lot to post each day, try and post them all together in one top level comment
-
Try keep things light. If you are bringing in deep stuff, try not to go overboard.
-
Things that are clearly on-topic for this board should be posted as a separate post and not here (except if you are new and still getting the feel of this place)
-
If you find people violating these rules, deport them rather than start a argument here.
-
Feel free to give feedback as these rules are expected to keep evolving
In short, imagine this thread to be a local community hall where we all gather and chat daily. Please be respectful to others in the same way
Rules For the rest of the Site also accessible on the sidebar.

Thank you for adding this...they are so beautiful...can you imagine how unique the Star of Bethlehem was?
I think about that a lot, especially at Christmas 🌟
Have you seen this film frens? u/Joys1Daughter

Thanks, no I haven't...but many years I went to a Christmas in the skies presentation at the Chicago planetarium that was really eye opening. It showed all the skies around the time of Jesus' birth and explained the Star of Bethlehem and it was just beautiful...that was WAY before Chicago went to the dogs. I will try to watch later today...you will be happy to know I am playing Mary Did You Know? for offeratory....LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that song...truly a TOP Christmas song...
That sky show sounds amazing fren. I have been to the wonderful Adler Planterium (a LONG time ago).
Regarding "Mary Did You Know" - Heidi from Watch the Water posted this the other day:

Oh yes...love that song sooo much... powerful in it's simplicity ✨
No... I'm excited to know about it!! Thank you Kitty! It sounds fascinating! 🌟
I bet.. God made everything so fascinating and He wants us to constantly figure things out and discover new things and witness his creations.. it's magnificent.
Cool video. Perhaps when zoomed in we are just seeing the coronal mass elections and that's why they look like that..... Or...?
Right? The amazing part is every star has a different pulse or pattern, like their own unique DNA. I have many theories and I think about them every night but too long to read and some theories are too far out. It's just amazing is all I can say.
Amazing! God's universe is stunning! ✨
Thanks for sharing. Love looking at the stars. Supposed to be very good meteor showers, including fire balls, now until Christmas. Waiting for the full moon to decrease to watch. My daughter saw a fire ball the other night on the way home. I’ve seen one but didn’t know what it was at the time.
