The problem is that Joe Biden will not catch Jimmy Carter's record of 200,566 people.
Refusing to die for the government is not a crime.
If you are drafted, then you gotta serve. The way I see it, President Carter admitted that the United States was at fault for Vietnam. Vietnam may have been one of the reasons why President Kennedy was killed as he was likely going to get former President Eisenhower over then to negotiate a settlement.
There's no constitutional authority to conscript young men to fight and die in an undeclared war, especially one that is not in defense of the nation.
