The tiny towns that populate Michigans "up north" areas have Dollar Generals that double as a grocery store. They are like a mini Meijers or Walmart. These small towns dont have a Kroger or such and these Dollar Generals save you a 30+ minute trip to a larger town. Though they are not 'full service' they provide a broad range of groceries including meat and produce.
One closed by me, for example, because like someone already said the two chains merged and each had a store across the street from the other. They didn’t need both.
True. Many generic medications. Lots of clothing.
Big Lots was just the main housewares/appliance brand on here that isn’t Family Dollar/Dollar General
