No doubt what Dem politicians and "leaders" want to get rid of it.
Dem voters on the other hand want to get rid of it because they're brainwashed imbeciles that know absolutely nothing about civics or why the Electoral College exists.
That always seemed like a lost opportunity to me on the part of the GOP and even the Libertarian party. The "abolish the Electoral College" idiocy has been going on ever since the 2000 election and then reached a fever pitch in 2016. There could/should have been some official attempt to educate the masses on why the Electoral College exists and why it's important.
Granted, only a small percentage would have understood it, but you have to try. Thank God the election this year was too big to rig, otherwise we might be witnessing serious attempts to end the EC right now.
