SUCCESS in Washington!

Speaker Mike Johnson and the House have come to a very good Deal for the American People. The newly agreed to American Relief Act of 2024 will keep the Government open, fund our Great Farmers and others, and provide relief for those severely impacted by the devastating hurricanes.

A VERY important piece, VITAL to the America First Agenda, was added as well - The date of the very unnecessary Debt Ceiling will be pushed out two years, to January 30, 2027. Now we can Make America Great Again, very quickly, which is what the People gave us a mandate to accomplish.

All Republicans, and even the Democrats, should do what is best for our Country, and vote “YES” for this Bill, TONIGHT!

This thinking aligns with a theory that I have been floating in my head:

Mike Johnson was handed a bill that he knows is no good and wants to kill it, but probably does not have enough clout nor numbers to kill it by himself, so he calls for help and reinforcements from Trump and Elon to drop the hammer on the bill.

They drop the hammer, and Mike Johnson has enough force to kill the bill and get back with something better.

A simple and brilliant plan if you ask me.

Would be of most hilarity that the government is shut down, failed to pass solely because of Trump's endorsement.

Being debated now.

Shutdown or No.

A Yes vote avoids the shutdown.

A No vote cements that the objective was to put up a firewall against Trump's agenda.

Kinda sick of the games.

Vote totals: Republican Yea 172, Nay 37, NV 10 Democrats. Yea 2, Nay 197, Present 1, NV 11

Total. Yea 174, Nay 234, Present 1, NV 21

Bill did NOT pass. House is in recess subject to the Call of the Chair.

Looks to me like the Democrats plus 37 Republicans want a government shutdown.
