In my wanderings I have seen many communities rise and fall this one has remained stead fast and true to itself- That is the mods. Thank you for sacrificing your time and energy to carve out a space for the rest of us. Merry Christmas and God Bless you.

Thank you frog, that is an interesting and perceptive comment. Back in the day, I used to be into saltwater aquariums, and setting them up is an incredibly torturous and painful phase where you have to "cycle the aquarium"—this nebulous phrase that basically means constantly do your best, but continuously endure multiple disasters that you can't explain until all of a sudden, it just pops into perfection and starts working perfectly. That's what being lead mod here has been like. GAW is cycled. Now, all of a sudden, it feels like the mod team has nothing to do. The community just seems to run itself. We do our best to reward memes, high effort research, and top contributors. Everything else is treated like noise. It seems like the community finds it rewarding to be here, commenting away, contributing, pulling together, posting, and moving the ball forward. It's wonderful. God bless you.
It sounds like the acts with plate spinners. Once the plates are all spinning it looks easy but getting there is amazing. It is good y’all are getting a respite because rest after a job well done is definitely deserved. Yall built a community now it seems the task changes but yall got this and I am excited to see it grow even better
Thank you for getting it. You are right. It's a plates are just spinning, now. The mod team can't see every single comment, but, over time, on average, when tards start wandering onto the playing field and acting like ass hats to our researchers, they get whacked. I would argue that the life of a retard on GAW is currently at the shortest of anywhere else on the internet. It's why they've basically decided to just invest their time shitting up other places.
The mods take a lot of flack, myself especially, because that's my job. While all the trolls think that they could take over if they could just get rid of u/CatsFive somehow, people don't understand that the other mods, they are so 100%. It's so funny how much they mod the same way. Nobody sees these tarda sperging out in modmail, just us, the mods, and meanwhile, the comment streams are totally sweet. Nice and clean.

Cats you are wonderful. i believe you have had to get on me a time or two when I let my impatient and anger get the best of me. I believe it takes us all to keep each other grounded and on task at times fren. I hope your Christmas was wonderful and for the other mods too.

Comments like this blow my tiny little brain. I literally was married to someone that thought what we do here is a colossal waste of time. During Covid she pretty much went nuts, you'd think the virus was her fantasy football team. Knitting pussy hats, listening to Rachel Maddow in bed, double masking, she was literally there for day one when the third booster came out. She thinks I'm a total loon and I was married to her?

I was literally married to her and yet here we have someone thanking the mod team for making GAW what it is, and I don't know how old you are, if you're male or female, I don't know where you live, we have never spoken in real life, but yet I have had a more positive impact in your life than I was able to affect on my ex-wife

I am a female, 68 years old and live in the corrupt state of PA, hopefully moving soon.
Someone told me about this site two years ago. It took me a while to grasp it but I learned so much.
I have always been conservative but lacked a lot of what was really happening.
After losing a brother and sister within two weeks of each other because of the vax it was the overwhelming support on here that helped me and still help me through everything.
Again thank you and sorry you had to endure a wife who was unable to see what was right in front of her.
Hopefully God will open her eyes.
