You won’t believe how fake the job market looks like when using tools like LinkedIn.
I don’t know how many filters there are and who is allowed to see what but I can tell you this:
When my company was looking for IT engineers/ developers, we had 2-3 LinkedIn ads showing 100(+) people applied while in fact we only had 6-8 candidates (not really good ones).
Either LinkedIn was faking the numbers to trick the candidates to buy the “Job Seeker” badge,
Or:
The 95% of candidates were not allowed to be seen by any employers (e.g. not being DEI enough),
Or:
Our business wasn’t allowed to get more CVs (growth suppression).

I can even believe all 3 are true.
I gave up after 6+ hard months of job searching. No one is really hiring. At least no one with actual skills.
Yeah I gave up after 10+ years of job searching and I applied to over 5,000+ jobs.
Really hope things will look better for us unemployed very soon! We all need jobs to have a better future.
My only play right now is to either make it big on Substack with my creative writing, or for GME and AMC to finally squeeze in a MOASS this year.
