" My brave fellows, you have done all I asked you to do, and more than can be reasonably expected; but your country is at stake, your wives, your houses and all that you hold dear. You have worn yourselves out with fatigues and hardships, but we know not how to spare you. If you will consent to stay one month longer, you will render that service to the cause of liberty, and to your country, which you probably can never do under any other circumstances. "
Washington, encouraging his men to re-enlist in the army | Tuesday, December 31, 1776
Trump in September: "Biggest thing that nobody even knows about, and it's all signed. And it goes into effect January 1st. And you better make sure I win. Can you imagine? This is going to be the biggest thing and nobody understands what it is."
Would like to know as well. Any speculation yet on what he was referring to?
"You'll find out." DJT
I gave a try at it, posted somewhere in this thread for Mod to review, will see what people think.
Summary: As George Washington’s led Continental Army dwindled down from 19,000 to 2,400 at the close of Dec. 1776, G. Wash. asked them to re-enlist for 30 more days. Their enlistment “was up and over come Jan. 1.
By getting the 2,400 to re-enlist 30 more days, G. Wash. , he was able to regroup and hold back the British over the winter in New Jersey.
The dates for us are not exact, but Jan. 2025 could be for us a Precipice month, just as Christmas Eve and Crossing theDelaware River was a Precipice event for G. Washington, and the whole harsh month of January (edit year) 1777 [ thanks Truthobserver71 noticing my typo 1977,aJimmy carter year ]!was a period of Precipice for the fledgling Continental Army.
January 1777.
Thanks, I made that typo 3 times yesterday, 1977, a JC Jimmy Carter year.
