I've never heard of Turo until all these events. But renting another person's car sure seems like an idea a criminal would come up with. Trace the crime back to the vehicle's owner rather than the renter. I wouldn't loan my vehicle out to a total stranger. WTF
It's like an AirBNB thing. For example, if you live close to an airport, you could have a small car rental agency that way. On the flip side, if you're traveling, you could find a nice rental for less money.
Or, of course, a throwaway bomb delivery vehicle with less hassle.
