It’s an interesting idea. That a few states can become independent countries. But the impulse to be independent is a truly American one. In fact each state was like its own country prior to the civil war reunification. Even afterwards they maintained a voice in Washington through the Senators appointed by each state legislature and tasked with representing the states interests at the federal level. Unfortunately this important check on federal government power was upset by the 17th amendment, passed by the big-time socialist FDR during the Great Depression, which made senators directly elected and basically turned them into little aristocrats without term limits who could wheel and deal as they wished. Of any issue that requires reform it’s this one. Once the voice is returned to the states there will be less impulse to break away because there will be a natural independence among them
Washington DC is a creature of the states. It's only a matter of time, given the current state of affairs, until the states withdraw their consent for Washington to continue to represent their interests to the world.
Same thing happening with respect to Brussels and the EU. Only a bit faster
5 Bucks says the groups advocating outright succession and creating independent nations. Are largely Government controlled ops meant to keep people from radicalizing and doing something stupid. Like resorting to Terrorism.
The movements advocating shifting State Borders around are likely legitimate.
That’s rich! Let’s see how long Oregon can exist without Federal funds. Most of these are liberal states. This movement goes to show that states should be financially independent of the Federal government. Do away with the IRS and Federal taxes. States tax and manage all state road and bridge repairs, etc. Who provides protection from foreign invasion if these states are independent of the U.S.?

Good. Highlights the leftist influence of those 11 states. Isolate the them if you can't get rid of them.

Nobody is protecting us from foreign invasion now...
