Well, having raised chickens, you have to make little X's into their hen house and monitor to make sure they go in separately at a "safe" distance. THEN, you have to space their nesting spaces 6 feet apart and feed them accordingly so they can't co-mingle. Easy Peasy. (we never had roosters - candling ain't my thang)
We let ours free range - which was great until the foxes and hawks figured it out. We're planning to build a large fenced (and covered) area - sadly - so we can renew our group and start over. It was wonderful to have them run to the car when we came home. They truly were sweet creatures. Now we're planning a more "non-immigrant/predator approach" - restricting their natural lifestyle while keeping them save. DAMMIT.... predators.
I saw something that made me do a double take. If bird flu is so bad, WHY aren't ducks, blue jays, sparrows, owls, etc? Why just domestic food sources and humans? Even my bluest relatives stop and go, "uhhhhhhhhh!"
Brilliant !!! And the birds wearing masks is also advised - nailed it OP.

haha, tbh - we loved our hens! We had berries and they'd come running when we went to pick them. They'd almost fight over those berries.

I wonder what Dr. Brix's response to that suggestion would be????????
They need to be isolated in their nests.
Will the chickens be driving cars alone?
Yes, and with a mask on.
Just make sure the chickens keep a "social distance" of at least 6 ft!
