Interesting.... I wonder though why there are even "Jewish Courts". If someone is a Jew, does the English Law not apply? Are Jews then held to a different standard? Is it due to religious reasons? If so, why do we not have specified "Christian Courts"?
The argument for separation of folks due to Heritage could be seen as favoritism or even racism. There's a fine line there.
Is it that a Jewish person feels they cannot be persecuted by a gentile? A Goyim? If it's acceptable to allow such blatant separatism for one class, and one class only, what can be inferred? 🤔
It seems like the Beth Din is considered a form of arbitration, which usually requires both parties to agree to it. I'm not getting angry or excited until I hear that someone was forced into it.
So, as an American, I could go over to the UK, commit a crime and have a US court system litigate my case? Seems fair to me.
