i think 9mm ammunition is usually in the 1200 fps and 115 grain, and to be subsonic you have to be under 1000 +/- fps using 147 grain or higher bullets

Although you can buy replica semi-auto Thompsons like the TM1 and TMC from AO they still cost between $1900 and $3500. So not a lot of them are floating around out there.
