...at least it seems so to me. Anyone seeing mystery drones still? Any more mystery fogs filled with phosgene gas? My initial impression is this stuff has stopped.

The other night...
They're mapping "real time 3D obstacles" and creating a database for UAS/UAVs for both commercial and emergency services. Maybe Amazon will be dropping your Chinese trinkets off via drone now...
The 2D data (XY) is already well established. But things like cell phone towers, power lines etc (Z) are not.
A person would instinctively avoid these objects AND in many cases due to the type of aircraft being flown would never even have a concern for obstacles below a certain height. You wouldn't need to know how tall a tree was between houses in your Cessna...way too granular and irrelevant (unless emergency landing...but still)
However, with the use of UAVs being used to be "first responders" in areas of high density traffic, buildings and objects at low elevation, a solid BASE MAP with these obstacles is required, because there needs to be redundancy between what the unmanned vehicle "sees" via sensors - or rather cannot see due to adverse weather conditions and other situations - operating in much tighter, more "granular" spaces, compared to conventional aircraft.

That's why a few weeks ago, Trump was like, "I can't believe they're not telling people what the deal is with these things..."
That made the most sense to me because I understand what they were doing as I watched them raster back and forth, meandering like a digitizing machine repeatedly in farm country...and pause and "pay extra attention to" the Verizon tower a 1/2 mile away...

If that were true, we would have whole communities dead in their houses and on the streets, or at least a mass instance of prolonged respiratory distress and/or failure community wide as the damaged tissue effects continue to deteriorate the lungs of those exposed.
it was a week to 3 weeks ago, but it was very localized and not widespread over large areas... mostly it affected military personnel so it seemed like an attack by a foreign adversary or turncoats within the U.S. military.
