Dozens of federal officials suspended for defying Trump’s executive orders * WND News Center
Dozens of federal officials, mostly top staff members at the U.S. Agency for International Development, have been suspended for trying to interfere with President Donald
WHY full pay? This is just a holiday for them. Suspend WITHOUT pay and if found innocent, reinstate their wages.
They have no other choice. The can do a reduction in force, but it takes awhile.
It's important to move them out of their leadership positions immediately.
Good point.
Because, during the investigation phase - they are innocent until proven guilty. So, they are placed in paid leave, all access to buildings, networks, computers is suspended.
Then, they will be fired, after the investigation of insubordination - I suspect that the 60 days is at the maximum side, I suspect that it will be much closer to 30 days (I may be wrong, but it's important to "dot the 'I's and cross the 't's" on every detail. We don't want a judge to have grounds to reverse the CinC - they all made a decision to commit insubordination. Now they can enjoy the fruits of their labor.

For being insubordinate to the President, the highest elected executive, and voted in as President by 70% of the populous, they must be fired, terminated and if possible lose their pension. If it is not possible to lose their pension congress needs to pass laws to prevent insubordination and keeping benefits in the future. They need to immediately be locked out: lose their credentials, their passwords and building access. They are lucky to be on paid leave.
" They need to immediately be locked out:"
...I concur completely...
while I agree with your ideals here, I will point out it is not in congress' interest to protest the executive branch from such insubordination...
Very true.
lol just noticed either a mistype or auto-incorrect on the word protest which is meant to be protect...
I knew what you meant.
Also, another slippery slope. What's defined as insubordination? What if Harris had been installed and people were bucking against her orders? I don't disagree with the removal process, just watch out for double standards and potential abuse. We won't get it perfect, but at least consider it from all sides for future procedures.
And of course congress is going to be a-hole. At least a whole lot of them!
so it is ok that it happened to Trump, but clinton, obama and biden basically told people that bucking the system while they were in office would not be tolerated....
Obs not ok. I'm saying as we make policy and laws going forward we need to be aware of potential abuse. Do what we can to mitigate problems in the future.
sure, but do you let them get away with it now? are you advocating tying Trump's hands now so he can not fight back? maybe I just don't understand what you are saying, or maybe you do not come across clear enough. I do not know. I certainly do not want an argument.
