This is risky, to be honest. There are really good and talented federal workers... what if they are the ones who decide to leave?
In all honesty, this could result in the precipice. Do you realize what services would stop, along with the funding freeze?
Don't get me wrong... I am all for the overhaul of gov. But there is a way to do it over 6-12 months, not a shock and awe tactic that ruins the lives and good workers and their families.
Furthermore, people will need time and money to learn new skills to become employees in the economy, especially if they are trying to replace their income and benefits.
Prepare accordingly. Major depression and clusterfuck on the horizon if a lot of people take the offer, combined with thefrozen funding. Seriously, this is not a popcorn thing. I am very surprised.
I’ll take the shock and awe. What this corrupt government has created is not sustainable. It was never sustainable. Burn the whole thing down! If you’re on this board and are not prepared for what’s coming…you should rectify that situation ASAP.
Oh, I'm prepared. But there are way too many who are not. How many are on this Board? 100K? That's not even a drop in the ocean.
And shock and awe could have still been acheived without it risking so much else.
But, I'm prepared, and I'm ready for those who are not. Buckle up.
I also think that this 8 day deadline will expose just how many “fake” employees we’ve been paying…
If they are smart enough to take it. I bet a lot of the dumb and bad ones will think they can hide... and, don't forget that if they are shitty fed workers then they probably don't want to have to go look for a real job. The bigger irsk is that smart and good fed workers will take the offer and high-tail it out of their fed job so as to avoid the chaos, and to find good employment elsewhere. It's risky, which is my only point, really. I just would have done it smarter.
