Executive Compensation at St Jude (2022)
When people think of St. Jude’s, they often associate the organization with the children’s research hospital but St Jude’s is actually two organizations: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (St Jude): the 73-bed children’s hospital that provides research...
We stopped donating to St Jude's when we realized that they prefer to treat children with harmful chemicals, radiation and disfiguring surgeries when cures actually exist. The survival rate for children with cancer (80%) has not improved in over 20 years. May God have mercy on their souls for the harm they have imposed on children and families.
Danny Thomas wanted the best for those kids!
This link points out that St. Jude Children’s Research has a co-organization for fundraising called “American Lebanese Syrian Associated Charities”. The IRS most recent Form 990’s for 2021/2022 showed that “ALSAC reported total revenue of $2.9 billion (compared to $2.4 million the prior year).”
Not to stoke the fire, but next time you go to buy highly inflated groceries, remember that $98 of $100 donated to “Feed the Children” goes to salaries and expenses, not the kids. Many other charities to dig on at the link.
Eventually, when you dig on the folks running these “charities”, the history points to the usual 3 Ring Humor Crew.
Thanks for posting this. I stopped donating to them due to their vax mandate - sent them a letter requesting they discontinue any further solicitations. To their credit, I have not received anymore mailings from them. Not that I needed any, but this is additional validation backing that decision.
Indeed. We only donate to local charities and missions. That kind of behavior wouldn't be allowed around here.
The amount of advertising a [charity] does is often a tell.
[Insert program or organization.]
Any charity buying tv commercial time is just there begging for money, usually exploiting people and animals, just to pay corporate salaries.
Hmmm. It is the usual scam. Some fat cats, skimming big time.
I just cancelled our regular donation to Wounded Warriors. I don't think the $$ was spent like that when we started donating to them 14 years ago.
Yeah, that probably falls in line with the single year revenue increase jumping from $2.4 Million to $2.9 Billion hoping nobody would notice the letter change.
Someone on here (or r/GreatAwakening or Voat) posted that Goodwill is actually a FOR profit bullshit place too.
I don’t donate anymore to anything except my church because we are extremely conservative and outspoken about it.
And this is how they probably launder our tax money as well. Providence St Joseph Health (WA) for example has "111 tax-exempt organizations, 49 taxable partnerships, and 47 taxable corporations or trusts that make up the network. These organizations pay PH&S about $4 billion annually for management and oversight."
I stopped donating to them last year when I noticed they had turned woke.
