That is my understanding as well. The child had received surgery and was being flown to Mexico. The stop in Missouri was, I believe, for refueling. I don’t know the fuel capacity or distance they can travel, but it seems reasonable that they would need to refuel in order to make the trip to Mexico.
Fox News Philadelphia reported last night that the plane was enroute to Tijuana Mexico with a pediatric patient on board. I love how MSM changes their stories.
whether it's the 24 hour news cycle making them drop their due diligence or intentional back-pedalling, it's pretty transparent they're not trustworthy at this point...
Naw. Springfield Mo is about the halfway point between Philly and San Diego, so I'd say it was a stop over for fuel. Why would a Mexican flagged ambulance service be taking a US Federal prisoner to Springfield's Federal prison? It wouldn't. The Corrections Department has their own planes for that kind of operation. And it probably wouldn't be a puddle jumper, but a 737 for just one patient. Come on, use your knoggins....Would the Federal government use a small plane to transport a criminal or would it send that criminal out in style on a huge aircraft? Gotta waste the taxpayers dollars somehow, right?
PHILLY AIR CRASH: OUTSIDE THE BOX THINKING
The air ambulance that crashed in Philly was headed to the Springfield-Branson National Airport in Missouri.
It made me wonder, "Why would a patient need to be flown to Missouri when there are FIVE "Level 1" trauma centers in the City of Philadelphia alone?"
There is ONE "Level 1" trauma center within 50 miles of the Springfield-Branson National Airport, and it is 40 miles away.
Guess what IS in Missouri?
The US Medical Center for Federal Prisoners in Springfield, which is only seven miles from the airport.

Right now the news say that the patient in the flight was a child.
They are saying the child had just had a successful surgery and was on their way home to mexico. 4 crew members, 1 child patient, 1 patient escort

Heading to the federal prison Hospital?
Erm.
Now the final destination is said to have been Tijuana, Mexico, and the Missouri would have been just a stopover.
Doesn't say anywhere if the "child patient" was being taken for treatment, or maybe from treatment back to the hospital near home.
