I just finished my 3rd letter to POTUS, properly addressed of course. Pro tip - if you mail anything to the President of the United States it lands in the mailroom facility to be scanned and scrutinized by the USSS and postal folks... and they get upwards of 10,000 pieces of mail PER DAY! Once it passes the mailroom it goes to respective recipients. To make it a bit easier for them, I write the contents on the envelope (usually a flat-rate envelope from USPS). For example, "Paperback book and correspondence". If they see that and it matches the scan of the contents, it might just speed up delivery by a smidgeon.... I just do it as a courtesy.
It must work - I've received two very nice letters from POTUS in return which hang in my home office. He truly is a "man of the people." YMMV.
I sent 2 in the first term, 2017-2018. Received 2 letters in return and a picture of him. Hung it on the wall with letter and envelope.๐บ๐ฒ
Thatโs awesome that you actually got a response - and twice at that. I became a US citizen during President Trumpโs first term before I was even a supporter. Iโm so glad I waited 10 years to pull the trigger and move up from green card status as now I incidentally have his signature on my Naturalization papers which I will forever cherish. ๐บ๐ธ
I met a French nurse who was getting the run around from immigration lawyers, so the could charge her more. She wrote a letter to POTUS and had her citizenship in 2 weeks. Made me very proud !
Honestly, I'm pretty sure the name, Donald Trump, will have more weight on history than the title "President" does. Most Presidents have only been presidents, and not very good ones. He's not only the best president, but so so much more than just a president, he's one of the most successful men to ever walk the planet.
I can respect that. But at least for the next 4 years I think we should address him as the President here on GAW and whenever possible. After that I believe youโre correct that history will remember him just as it has with all the GREAT - if you think about it George Washington, Abraham Lincoln and JFK does not need the title attached to be forever remembered as US presidents.
Some of us never really stopped referring to POTUS as POTUS
POTUS has risked his life for us and the world. He deserves the the title of President Trump.
Never said he didn't, i said he's above that title, he's more than just that title, his name has more power than that title.
Or GEOTUS.
Like a breath of fresh air
I usually use POTUS but occasionally PDJT.
He has my unwavering respect.
It's always President Trump Your Excellency for me even 4 years ago when Jim Carrey was in office.
..."The Great Orange Sultan"...
Yep! Much thanks for our dear President Trump!
AMEN!
Always have, always will.
I've been calling him President since 2016! Never stopped!
Hear, hear.
Ok, but I prefer GEOTUS, to be honest. Because, have you looked at the transformation of our government! Holy cats.
he will always be Donnie to me...
