The US is the worlds biggest exporter of Agricultural products in the world. You really think the US needs other countries to feed its citizens? No. China does. US does not.
How do you maintain that status? By production, and production is fueled by energy. Does the US need oil imports? No. There is enough to satisfy demand. Drill, baby, drill!
How about water? There again is enough! As is showcased by California, under the guise of protection large amount of water are withheld, so agriculture is stifled.
Seeds: who control seeds? Big pharma. Where do these guys come from? Yes, not native home grown but manipulated and imported. Do you need it? No.
The same analysis can be done for gold, silver, rare earth metals, coal, iron, copper you name it.
And there were you need imports, you deal can be struck that actually benefits the US.
SO: compared to the EU:
It needs to import Energy because it does not have sufficient amount of oil & gas. Alternatively, it can go the route to Nuclear: uranium and Thorium, but it choose to go the route of Windmills and solar panels, further increasing its dependence on imports, thus skyrocketing prices of consumer goods. It is has black coal and brown coal. And it could make use some energy production by way of water, but that only goes for those EU countries with sufficient precipitation of the whole year.
The EU has no real deposits of iron. (Norway has, but is not EU).
The EU hardly has any rare earth metals.
It has vast amounts of agricultural lands to sustain food production.
It has enough water.
It perhaps has technological niches it can use.
In other words: it is weak and not self-sustained to the level it has developed.
The narrative by this group, clearly is not US centered but is fed from another source, dependent on globalism. Pick one or both: EU/ China.
Not quite true about the iron deposits, there are still several fairly large, and still untapped, ones in the Fennoscandian shield and Sweden and Finland are parts of EU. And there are also some rare earths here.
The big problem is getting them, as at least Finland has had the habit of selling the mining rights to foreign firms for some decades now.
