The REINS Act is “one of the most consequential reforms we could make,” Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) said during an appearance on The Alex Marlow Show, explaining how it would essentially stop unelected bureaucrats from circumventing Congress.
Lee took it a step further by putting it this way: “I’ve often said, if a genie appeared to me and said, ‘You can pass any piece of legislation now pending before Congress,’ it’d be the REINS Act 100 times out of 100, 1,000 times out of 1,000.”
The REINS Act would essentially raise the debt ceiling but with very specific conditions and “require, in essence, congressional approval of major federal regulations known as major rules before agencies could implement them, before they could be implemented as law,” Lee explained.
“require, in essence, congressional approval of major federal regulations known as major rules before agencies could implement them, before they could be implemented as law,” Lee explained
Rubber stamp. Congress needs to make these major regulations properly.
The current problem stems from Congress passing a law that forfeits their power to the executive branch. As long as the reins act would require a majority of both houses to vote yes, it's a return to the Constitutional way of writing law.
Yeah... but they don't follow the law, they're bullies and have more and bigger guns than any sovereign who doesn't reside in DC... especially those who reject the "US Citizen" status.

It will get better with Congress in charge.Riiiiiiightttt.These idiots really don't realize how through with them we are.
Don't have to worry about regulatory bodies making regulations if those regulatory bodies don't exist.
The current problem stems from Congress passing a law that forfeits their power to the executive branch. As long as the reins act would require a majority of both houses to vote yes, it's a return to the Constitutional way of writing law.
Congress has shown unending service to their respective parties, irregardless of what's best for the nation. They serve only themselves.
Which is why they should do actual work instead of hiding behind blaming whatever president is there now.
Congress illegally delegated the authority over income tax collection to unelected bureaucrats at IRS, a private Delaware corporation.
Per the Supreme Court ruling of 2024, they have no power to execute laws. None of us should be having to pay income tax. IT. IS. FRAUD.
Supreme Court decisions upholding the income tax are also FRAUD.
Yeah... but they don't follow the law, they're bullies and have more and bigger guns than any sovereign who doesn't reside in DC... especially those who reject the "US Citizen" status.
