It’s curious that Lt Gen Dan Caine has not gotten more posts here on GAW. This is a highly unusual move for a POTUS to appoint him as the Chairman of the JCoS. If there were a singular move thus far that supports the theory that the military has been in control of this movement….. THIS IS IT

Odd because:

  1. He’s a 3-star (not 4)

  2. He’s retired from the military (a civilian that will need to be brought back in to the military)

  3. His appointment comes on the heels of firings of CQ Brown (outgoing chairman) and Franchetti (CNO). While not unprecedented, this doesn’t happen often.
