There is nothing bad or wrong with ethanol from corn in gasoline. It replaces benzine which is horrible for us and the planet. It actually makes the exhaust out of vehicles cleaner. Plus the byproduct, distillers grain, is way more digestable for cattle so they get more energy than if they were to eat raw corn. So, it is a win, win. Plus myself and other farmers have more locations to sell the corn to in country, versus exporting it. Henry Ford's original model T was developed to run on ethanol, but his investor had a byproduct called gasoline that he needed an outlet for, so that's why we need gas instead. Ethanol is more efficient in high compression engines, hence the reduced mpg in modern engines with e85. E15, causes little to no reduction versus premium or unleaded. I ran e30 in an infinity with no problems. Using ethanol, supports farmers. We would appreciate your support!!
Bullcrap, it’s a filler for gasoline so you pay more for less actual product. It’s horrible for soft parts on fuel systems and should not be in our fuel supply.
Southern California vegans are gonna freak out when their $48/pound imported Vietnamese Sea Weed suddenly becomes unaffordable because of Trump. They won't be able to eat; literally starving them to death!
Understand about the Have Fun Comment , but have always felt work is a lot closer to the Fun Side if you know your not just being productive, but Making Good Money and not in fear of Losing the Farm in the Process ..
Will a lot of produce not get bought from outside the states which means a lot of farmers do not sell produce or will have to sell at a cheaper price to get it sold inside. Sounds like farmers take the brunt of this deal.
Unless I’m missing something, the Tariffs being imposed is on the produce coming in, making the playing field level…would that not then make the farmers more competitive, hence selling more US produce …
After rereading I agree. He is putting a tariff on imports to incentivize buying from US farmers. First read it did sound like he is increasing tariffs on exports which would drive the price up for US farms. But that makes no sense to mention that if is true lol
So we import the same stuff we export? I always thought we produce for domestic whilst simultaneously exporting a certain amount. But predominantly produce for domestic.
Great, and while we're at it, let's get the damn corn out of the gasoline.

Cattle shouldn't be eating corn, no matter how good they taste when they do. It's bad for them and then need a metric ton of antibiotics when they do.
Can we get rid of glyphosate too…….. please?

Their diet starves them regardless.
Meh, Darwin at work. IQs will rise.
I've never been one to equate "farming" with "fun," but hey, it's a new dawn, it's a new day, it's a new life...

Good points.
Was I the only one that sang in my head "and I'm feeling good" when reading this?
Apparently not 🤣
And I’m feeling good..

You are correct,
No more cartel avocados. Darn.
Yeah we kind of live on avocados and bananas. Now they might become seasonal in our kitchen.
Returning to organically grown foods will increase people's longevity!
And let's build that Sites reservoir in California!
Ready sir O7
Still not tired of winning Boss keep up the good work!
