They are using “chats” to search their electronics, I thought we had freedom of speech?
People are allowed to have fantasies.
If this is all they have is fantasy type chats - even if they are about someone real - that is free speech.

Less government does NOT equal the govt monitoring our conversations and searching our devices. They are now our personal diaries. They may have done something wrong, but it’s not in that article. They search everything when they search your devices, they read every single thing on you. That’s not right.
The court records are public, that's just the way it's done. That's normal pretty much anywhere. It sucks if you're innocent, or framed by the government, but it was deemed a long time ago that public transparency is more important.

If the government searched the chats -assuming it was on a personal device- they would need a warrant to unlock his device.
If the judge was doing it from government property, he's a dumbass.
The damage is done to these men already. Their private thoughts are now public based on “save the kids.”
