Seed oil is the worst thing for your health, and that is what most chains use. Always cook with lard (available at Walmart) or tallow to fry in, and you’ll be healthier and enjoy the taste much more! Never use margarine…only butter! Look up the video on YouTube of “Dr. miller animal fat”. He is a cardiologist who did research after his retirement and discovered that animal fat is the best thing for us.
Be careful of the Lard you buy. Crisco is hydrogenated cotton seed oil and not lard.
Olive oil for light heat and ghee for high heat. I make my own ghee. A lb. of grass fed butter in a pan and simmer till it stops simmering. strain in a jar through cheese cloth. much easier and cheaper than buying ghee from the store. No need to put in the fridge. Find a local butcher for beef tallow and bones for bone broth. Or buy small acreage and raise a few cows.
Most of what people think is lard is not - those products are hydrogenated seed oils. Real lard is made from pork fat. Tallow is beef fat. Animal fats are the healthier choice.

I understand Crisco is seed oil. The lard is usually below it on the shelves in a white bucket with green lettering.
Save the fat when you make bacon. Good for frying and a bonus bacon flavor.
also ground beef. That stuff is white gold! Strain it into a jar and keeps forever in the fridge
Just be sure there's no water in it
most of the lard at walmart is hydrogenated to make it shelf stable - not sure if that matters, but it doesn't sound good
They started cutting supermarket “lard” with seed oils in Ireland.
I get tallow from my butcher.

Even the phrase “seed oil” makes it sound healthy. If anyone checks out the production process of these “oils” they would be horrified.
They are poison our bodies, as created by the All Mighty, are not designed to process.
