We should have suspected foul play in Kennedy's win of the Chicago area, and various parties did, but the masses just said "ho, hum," and let it slide.
You are like the guy who is alarmed that his garden has grown rank with weeds, and are looking for someone to blame. The fact of the matter is that elections---like absolutely everything else in our civilization---go to pot if everyone is not tending the garden, looking for weeds, and extirpating them.

Not personal. I'm talking about "we," so I'm in the mix as well.
I know what I am talking about, having played a small sample of the Trump approach in a labor union, to dislodge our equivalent of "the cabal." Not easy. Took lots of dedication, time, and money. Most of the engineers in the union were conservative, yet they did not participate in the union council. I would implore them to do so, but they would just sniff and say "I don't want to have any part of it," and they let the union slide into socialist advocacy while bitching and moaning about that very development. It varies across the spectrum of advocacy, but there are plenty of outspoken types who will not lift a practical finger to change things. I see that all the time in 2nd Amendment advocacy. LIbertarian Party? Nowhere to be seen. Says it all. So, the ass-sitters can rightfully say "It wasn't me who voted in those bastards." And the reply should be, "Nor was it you who voted in a better slate."
I remember the very bitter defeat of Barry Goldwater in 1964. We think Trump has been lied about.

I can understand that. The CWA is the same, even the teamsters bucked. Ron Paul's base got hijacked by woke, and after 2012, most of the libertarians morphed into hard leftists. Every time he makes a Facebook post, they twist his message and shlll nothing but negativity. It's really sad the complacency and ignorance people have.. most gave up a long time ago, and politics is just an ego battle now.
But with all that said, the war is spiritual. If it weren't for mass communication and government secrecy, I truly don't believe it would be as bad as it has been for the past 100 years. I guess that's my main point, that it's truly not our faults for elections. But yes, the ignorance isn't acceptable at all, and has it's impact.
