OK, but we are in danger of starting our analysis too late. That is, we just accept that Jewish people were denied certain jobs or rights but then we need to go back a step and ask why that was the case.
I suspect that it did not just happen by chance and that there was some sort of provocation that caused those responses.

The why you mention is the most important question. There is an old saying, if over the course of a day you meet one asshole, that's life. If all you meet are assholes, it's really you who are the asshole. Jews need to ask themselves some hard questions if they don't want the cycle to repeat. Blaming everyone around them for being bigots will only go so far. There are legitiment reasons for people's anger and distrust and this has to be discussed openly.
If your kid gets kicked out of 1030 schools, maybe your kid is the problem... but that would be aNtiSeMiTe to say.
Afaik it was because they wouldn't convert to the Catholic or Muslim religion. Protestants suffered similar temporal punishments. Furthermore, Catholics thought the Jews were a special kind of scum because they persuaded to the crucifixion of Christ. (please correct me if I'm wrong or missing something).

Eustace Mullins, student of Ezra Pound, learned that after the fall of Rome (Western Rome), the newly formed "Eastern Roman empire", commonly referred to as the "Byzantine Empire", which ruled in relative peace for at least fifteen hundred years (64 to 1500s), implemented a few simple rules; that people of a certain persuasion could not work in any capacity in government, law, banking, medicine and education of any kind. Effectively, all the "primary institutions of influence".
This policy resulted in the so-called "ghettos" as said group of people were unwilling to work in any other capacities within the city and general population.
The Russian Czar's adopted the same general policy as did Hitler prior to France and Brittan declaring war.

BTW, you can also find this information from Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn more controversial books (200 years...), specifically relating to the Russian "Pales of Settlement" (ghettos). He stated quite plainly that they were not "forced" to live in these places, but rather CHOSE to live there when they were unable to get jobs within influential careers and institutions.
The information came by way of Ezra Pound's research while exiled in Italy, in which he later directed Eustace Mullins to research when imprisoned here in the US as a "traitor". Mullins wrote about it in several of his books which you can find from booksellers. I'll refrain from saying the titles but you can figure it out. You might need to search some "alternative used booksellers" for the more controversial books. He's basically a "taboo" author in all respects. And yet his research is near flawless. He was the first to write a full book about the Federal Reserve for example. Decades before G. Edward Griffin and frankly, far more revealing than "The Creature from Jekyll Island".
Basically Mullins is the best author I've found to uncover and publish "taboo history" topics that most other authors refused to discuss for safety concerns. For whatever reason, he had no fear despite the many attacks he faced in his lifetime. One of the few people that valued truth over his own well-being. A rare quality indeed...
And no, not the Eastern Orthodox church, these policies were carried out by the controllers of the Byzantine empire, Russian Czarist empires and briefly by Hitler and the Nazi party from 1933-1941 in Germany. Thus, they were officially "state/government policies".

Indeed. The hard part is convincing people they've "guided humanity" across all mainstream institutions and worldviews. If it's common and popular, it's been corrupted....no exceptions.
You will need to ignore at least the first twenty events in that list before there is any chance of the Christians acting against them. And wait another few centuries before you can blame the Muslims.
