Noice to see Grok was roped in. Of course, one has to double-check what the thing says: as was done - peer reviewed. I found for example, that references in an AI attempt, are complete bunkum, but one can soon find bona-fide references. But, the fact that AI says something, means there is widespread use of the idea. Good for assessing the landscape. So, it can be used as a research tool. Plus, back-an-forth interation with an AI can help with formulating an argument.
The reason I say that, is that academics are really afraid of AI: If you write a half-way decent sentence, or even an argument, the profs immediately accuse you of the use of AI. So, it's refreshing to see it right front and centre.
But, AI-use in academia is a moot subject at this point. When one does any search on Google, the first item is AI-produced. And usually it has some good ideas to explore, too. So when the tutor says: Name three important factors in the elimination of hottentot huts in the context of incorporation of copper tools in clandestine brain surgery (or something - that was a joke), the AI will prolly give six factors. By all means deliberate the points and decide for yourself which applies the best.
I am a retired college writing instructor, and I am shocked by what Grok can spit out in fewer than 10 seconds. I’m glad I retired before Grok—not sure what college writing instructors will do (in-class essays—all the time)?
They do try, but it means the students are sitting in the classroom doing research and writing, and they can't really replace all that lecture-time with assignment writing.
The world has been so dumb down that glaciation is being used to push their climate change crap! Ice builds up, runs down valleys, forms to solid ice and eventually reaches higher temperature zones and melts! This has been happening for thousands of years, yet they have convinced the masses that this is not normal!

The IPCC was already demonstrated to be a money grabbing scam, and now it has been show to remain so.
Thanks for sharing BB!
