I guess my approach to this event was almost to ignore it, never thought it was more than a "mostly peaceful protest"

any more than I think much about the BLM riots at that time, which were often not as peaceful

like I almost feel like talking about it as if it was an event or defending it much almost feeds in to the narrative that it wasn't a "nothingburger"

AND it's brought up so often to deflect from their misdoings. They're like a broken record with this and that was likely also the reason for it.
