Idk if this will be allowed here or not so sorry in advance. God has had me focusing on the cross between Church and Great Awakening. I don't yet fully have words yet. So I'm attempting to gather some data on different things and would appreciate it if you would share your thoughts on this poll.

For anyone that doesnt have X. The Question is.
My Church's attendance and participation has ____ since the lockdowns ended
Grown a little
Grown a lot
Stayed the Same
Gotten small
My church in East San Diego has grown a lot Frens. Increased frequency of baptisms, 20-30 baptized monthly, new parking lot to ease congestion. Praise God!
I think the poll itself is biased because few would want to admit lower attendance unless the answer were truly anonymous.
I'll be honest, I was attending until the lock downs and then have not attended once since they voluntarily closed their doors.
The lack of fighting back against ungodly tyranny showed me the church as an institution is not very Christ like, at all.
By their fruit you will know them. Matt. 7-16
Sermons are preached more out of the newspaper than the Bible it seems and if I hear another name it and claim it sermon, I think I might puke.
My church leaders had outdoor and indoor services, complied with 6ft rules, taking our temp every other row open. They even sued the state which shut down daycare since the wouldn't force 2 year old to wear masks. It will prob go all the way to supreme court.
I am very glad such churches still exist. You are blessed indeed.
This was not the case for any church in my area within 100 miles or more.
You are at the wrong church with the wrong mindset. Look around. It takes time.
Took me well over a decade…
I agree, but when you have searched for the right one as many times as I have over the decades, it becomes wearisome finding the needle in the haystack, only to be let down after a few years.
I actually attended every Sunday to a deliverance group, which was a Buddhist based workshop, that was more enlightening than an Assemblies of God worship service, to be honest.
The four noble truths and the eightfold path are exactly what Christ taught. The Buddhist teachings only lack Christ as the only redeemer. Otherwise, their dogma is right over the target.
Of course, I confess that Jeshua (Yah-shew-ah) Messiah, known today as Jesus Christ, is the only name under heaven, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12
You may be much closer than you think, fren! (Not necessarily with the Buddhist workshop, but we have a lot of people who left AoG)
Pleased to say grown a lot.
We stopped going because the interim pastor was a PITA, specifically when we approached about a religious waiver letter.
To be honest, we had been seeing issues even before the interim pastor came (why is “white privilege” mentioned in a sermon?), and this was the final straw.
“Church Inc.” has kept us away.
… shoulda stopped going that day and given a public rebuke.
Agree. We loved the pastor at the time, and loved the community…we stayed too long.
In hindsight, I should have walked out in the middle of the sermon.
Not sure. Since they decided to focus on covid rather than Christ, we left. Found a small church that has the right focus.
Covid was the last straw for me. I left and haven't looked for a new one as of yet.
Growth for sure but even more impressive is he degree of ferveant intersession during the service for our country and the on subjects we post on GAW.
Hoooooo I would love to start seeing that more!!!
I've gone to church regularly for like 10 years and my faith was there but it wasn't sincere or big.....while attendance got small for a short while (California) since the start of lockdowns...my faith has Grown A LOT and became REAL since the lockdowns started.
Was happy to find a church in California that defied lockdowns and stayed open. Church attendance was back to normal. But again, FAITH has skyrocketed and become so so real.
Haven't stepped foot in a church in a long time. The church up the road from me looked like an option but they support the alphabet people and bowed to the wuflu nonsense.
Just remember that a church is anywhere that two or more are gathered in the name of the Lord. Don't need a brick and mortar "church" bowing to the will of the gubmint.
Hell if I know, haven't been back since they fucking closed down to comply with lockdown B.S.
Ours has gone up a bit I think, but I don’t know the numbers.
We are not a traditional branch, though.
SE Ga grown maybe 20%
