I grew up in the 60's - 70's. The only surgery I remember we little folks talked about was the dreaded tonsillectomy.
Does anyone get their tonsils taken out any more? Or did the medical profession simply decide it was more profitable to cut off penises and breasts?

As a child I remember looking at a model spine on the table of the waiting room while the doctor & my mom discussed the possibility of a tonsillectomy for me & I thought, they're cutting that out of me. 🤔😮 True story 🤣
