I think it's how their minds work. Great people. Generally brilliant. Flight test engineers are seriously funny. As are flight test pilots who are also generally brilliant engineers. Their minds are wired differently. And that's ok. I know I would vote for the ones with a sense of humor because their wiring is a bit more acrobatic.
