We Can End the Autism Epidemic — By Telling the Truth
Today, on World Autism Day, let’s honor autistic children and adults everywhere by demanding our federal agencies unlock the four decades of data that hold the secrets to why autism rates are soaring — so we can end the autism epidemic once and for all.
Autist is not a disease. You have the most brilliant autists around.
Can I just say that it's a matter of degree. My son is a teenager and has such severe autism that he is non-verbal.
In lesser affected people, the different thinking style is very useful, but for my son, it means he is not independent and may not ever be.
Also, the volume of most stimuli are turned up uncomfortably loud in his head and he has to put up with that all the time.
To Concept’s comment, and I’ve mentioned this before, I think to you, but not sure if you saw it or already have experience with this or maybe it was someone else, but just in case..

Thank you fren.
I don’t know if you saw this post from a few weeks ago. I have no way of knowing if this is even applicable to your son’s situation, but I wanted to pass it on.
There is a neurologist in Arizona who is treating nonverbal kids with a prescription form of folate with good results. I suspect the larger medical community will drag their feet on trying this medication.
