A good question.. he's a bit of an enigma and very tied into the military/industrial/intelligence complex. For years the Wash Po has basically been the CIA's daily newsletter.
But he's been sucking up to Trump like crazy since the election so at the very least, he seems to know which way the wind is blowing.
There aren't stories or evidence or circumstance that paint him as a monster, though he could just be really good at not getting caught. Tough to tell just how bad of a guy he is.
