I'm 185lbs 15% bodyfat and lift and do cardio 4 days a week. I barely eat anything processed. My out of shape doctor told me I need to lower cholesterol and get on statins and said I was overweight. This was 3 years ago. I bought an Omron blood pressure machine and my readings are in the green everyday. This is why I don't trust doctors.
My saintly Dad told me decades ago (when they were telling us to not eat eggs): we are animals, our bodies make cholesterol!
He also said that eggs also contain lecithin to process the cholesterol: "Lecithin in eggs is primarily found in the yolk and is a type of fat that helps with fat transport in the body. It is also a source of choline, which is important for brain health and various bodily functions." wiki
We only had margarine when we couldn't "afford" butter. Then they decided, Butter is Better and worth the extra cost.
Do you have friends or family where the women/girls are suffering from PCOS infertility and other “female conditions”? Carnivore diet along with intermittent fasting is reversing these conditions without drugs just meat eggs dairy and seafood. Oh and for the men? Young and old? Increase in testosterone by 30% without worthless shots. Did you know that testosterone shots cannot help with infertility? No? BUT MEAT CAN. See Dr Shawn Baker, MD; Dr. Ken Berry MD, Anthony Chaffee, MD and Jason Fung MD. Robert Kiltz, MD-infertility specialist who swears by the diet.
There is an excellent book, "The Great Cholesterol Myth" by Drs. Stephen Sinatra and Johnny Bowden, which debunks all the standard persuasions used to steer patients (victims) toward statin drugs. I highly recommend it.
As I heard it put once, cholesterol is like a fire department. When you correlate the presence of cholesterol with arterial inflammation as a bad thing, you are essentially blaming the fire department for setting the house on fire. Better to work on reducing the inflammation. And to avoid food because it contains cholesterol is an absurdity. That cholesterol is digested; the body makes cholesterol that appears in our bloodstream.
One part of the world Ancel Keys used in his study was eastern Finland. High fat diets, high levels of heart disease.
However, that is the same area of Finland that back then also used to have high incidence levels of goiter. Due to the fact that Finnish soil, especially on the eastern parts of the country, has hardly any iodine in it, so back when Keys did his study people in that area were mostly chronically deficient. And guess what, iodine deficiency is also connected to cardiovascular disease.

Don't even need to read the story.
Your brain is made of cholesterol. Don't fuck it up with artificial fats trans is always bad. Don't strip it with alcohol or statins.
Yummy... whiskey... have the bacon for buffer. ;)

Dr Berg has some really great videos on this.
