If I could go back in time I would tell the founders to put it as freedom of Christian religion.
It was a different time. Common sense still prevailed.
I think it was Jefferson that said our Constitution is meant for a moral society. Immorality is running rampant in our world and that is why the Constitution is under constant attack.
That was John Adams:

I think a better description would be: invasion.
Talks about the dangers of allowing communities like the Islamic enclave EPIC City in Texas.
Islam = subjection.
Mohammedans use this kind of language with equal effect as do socialists and commies. Come to think of it, they are usually the best of buddies.
Personally, I have no qualms about either of the pillars of subjection, although I see no reason why morals have to prescribed. However, if the conclusion were: that were all there is to it, it would be a deceitful conclusion.
This particular strain of mental illness is larded with regulations, suppression, death threats and stupidity. Logic, reason and morals are absent.
So, the best way to deal with it is to not recognize it as a religion but what it really is: a mental illness.
Any self-described "religion" that requires adherents to lie to, cheat, subjugate, and actually KILL non-believers in the goal of taking over the entire EARTH is NOT a true religion -- it is a plan to impose a world-wide tyranny DISGUISED as a religion.
America's Founders would have done well to explain that in our founding documents and to ban Islam or any other group that operates and is designed in a similar fashion (Satanism and Communism, for examples; note that the spiritual dimension is optional for this purpose). Islam is a giant RICO conspiracy aimed at fostering theft, murder, and tyranny; it should not be treated as a religion.
Part of what disguises this is that there are great things in the vast jumble of Islam -- my father wasn't a Muslim (nor raised as one) but his favorite book was The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran, for example -- a book which puts the positive side of Muslim culture and spirituality on display. Millions of Muslims are good, compassionate, honest people: "moderate Muslims" they're called. They ignore the parts of the "holy books" that tell Muslims to treat Infidels as enemies and to kill them when they've taken over enough of a society.
Those Muslims, the Moderate ones, are slaughtered along with other Infidels when the time becomes right (e.g., when the Muslim population in an area becomes large enough proportionally to have the upper hand). England is well on the way to that point.
Amazon, for another source, has hundreds of books relevant to Islam's built-in, outright war against all other belief systems. This war isn't doesn't involve a "radical interpretation" of Islam, but rather takes what is in the Koran as an important part of Islam that applies literally to all adherents (the original is even more direct than translations, according to reports).
Islam is not what the Founding Fathers had in mind when they propagated religious freedom. Islam is directly opposed to freedom of religion, and it should not be allowed in America. I'm sorry, but that is the truth.
