When I left there for good in 1988 they still had the death penalty. It was still the gas chamber until it changed to lethal injection in the '90s/ Side note - isn't "lethal" unnecessary in "lethal injection" when describing the method used to kill the condemned?

Now they don't even have capital punishment anymore.
