Adult children covered on parents' policy until age 26.
Seniors have to go onto Medicare at age 65.
Obama Care provided "affordable coverage" for "everybody".
Many people are covered by their employers, most especially government employees at all levels.
Many are covered by their union plan, such as the teachers.
WHO are these 25%?? Besides illegal aliens?
I always thought it was insane that health coverage is tied to an employer. Whats to stop them from tying car coverage on employer as well? Rental insurance? Home? Flood?
Tying such vital things to an employer makes changing jobs - or worse unemployment - much more difficult than it already would be... which might be the point. Smaller companies have a harder time competing with larger ones capable of negotiating much more attractive insurance deals. Transnational giant companies run by strangers around the globe therefore have an advantage over small local domestic companies owned and operated by your neighbors. Globalists must love how well this system turned out for them.
Health insurance is tied to employment because of Congress.
During WWII Congress prohibited employers from raising salaries, you know, to support the war effort. So employers started offering more benefits instead of salary increases, including medical insurance.
Now it's enshrined in the tax code.
It's a great way to hide the completely inflated costs. If people had to pay/see the full cost of health insurance, many would simply say no way.
Yep, I have 25 employees. All of them get health care through my company and I pay for their full health care as a perk. It costs me around $1500-$2500 per month, per employee depending on which plan they choose.
People keep warning we are headed towards a globalist NWO - I would argue that we are already living in it. Ignorance is bliss but once awake you start to notice the rot and decay.
"have to" = mandate
If you would stop going on these Man-dates life will be better. It is not against the law to have your own insurance , most just can't afford another choice than medicare . And it is of course mostly about thinning the herd after extracting it's remaining value (assets).
Commiefornia has the largest number of welfare recipients and 37% on Medicide , oops Medicaid . Coincidence ?
Medicaid is used for many minor children. Obama Care is obviously NOT affordable. People who are unemployed or under-employed may qualify for Medicaid.
Many smaller employers offer paid for health coverage for the employee only. Employee's may add their family members, but have to pay the difference, which in most cases is over $1000 month. It's less expensive to see if your income is low enough to place children in the Medicaid system.
Some partially disabled people may not qualify for Medicare but can go on Medicaid. Medicaid has its place in the world but like everything else, is subject to abuse & fraud.
It's the borough council's wife who claims that it is just her and her children because she only works part-time hours, completely neglecting to say that her husband lives in the household and has his own construction business that was just awarded a million-dollar contract.
It is the "permanent resident" who says she only receives $500 a month support for her anchor babies from their father, while forgetting to report that she has her own "multiservice agency" that she claims she makes no money on when she files her taxes.
It's the man who conveniently works just enough hours not to go over the maximum income limit to qualify for Medicaid.
It's the woman who works a new job every 6 weeks because she has to quit because it is a hostile work environment.
It is the 50-year-old man who lives at home to take care of his 80-year-old mother because his father left a sizable trust to care for her, so he lives at home and drives a new sports car while he "takes care of" her.
It; 's the 19-year-old anchor baby of a permanent resident who has been receiving benefits her whole life, and how is pregnant and unemployed, so she has to move out of her family's house....just because.
Oh, and many, many, many employers offer health insurance, but they don't take it because "then I would have to pay for it."
I could go on and on and on. You need any more?
How about the vast amount of people who actually do qualify and are dependent on the system. Some families have only one working parent/spouse often due to disabilities, health issues and homeschooled children. Some are working minimum wage jobs and don’t earn enough to pay for healthcare insurance and also not everyone gets health insurance through their jobs. Is there fraud and abuse in the system? Oh absolutely and I’m sure it’s rampant as with any government benefit program. An audit of Medicaid would be very appropriate. But let’s not discrete those American citizens who legit qualify and depend on this system and otherwise is doing everything they can to survive.
Actually, the vast majority of people on Medicaid are fully capable of working a full-time job, but they refuse to do so. I don't know where you live, but there are plenty of good-paying jobs that are begging for employees, but everyone seems to think they are entitled to $50 an hour. They also seem to think that they are entitled to take time off whenever they want and all the time they want. So you're saying I should pay for them?
For the guys that want their wife (actually, she is most likely his baby mama because no one seems to marry anymore) to stay home with their kids, it's now MY responsibility to pay for their health care (medical, dental and vision, you know the stuff I am paying $250 a month for) and their food?!?! Why?
Where the hell is personal responsibility in all this? The friggen Democrats sold the bleeding heart story of all the poor downtrodden people who deserve welfare in this country. They have you believing that it is YOUR responsibility to take care of everyone else. Well, it's not.
Disabled?
I know how it works in PA and it's a fucking crime, especially since we are told to "just accept whatever they say as the truth."

I know it sucks.
Congress should be looking at rogue judges, violation of the Logan Act, sedition and Treason on the part of congressional members and government workers, election fraud. There are a lot of things need fixing before Medicaid.
Elon is all over FRUAD. Medicaid is covered.
I live in a "sanctuary" state, and have observed many, many probable illegals, and their families using Medicaid, which also includes vision and dental. Generally the parents have jobs that are unreported, or earnings are under reported. It must be in the millions or billions of dollars, paid by we, the taxpayers. They also get food and housing vouchers. So they get to keep most of their earnings while we're taxed like crazy.
I can swear that what you are saying is the absolute truth!
Commiefornia they get Orthodontics. Crazy is right.
