Couple of things - I don't believe that Trump didn't know about all of this, incl the scientology (which I still don't know about) prior to nominating her. His close team is just not that clueless. And they are ruthless (eg Steven Miller). That said, I think Trump needed someone who could get confirmed in the aftermath of the Gaetz mess.

I wonder if there are any qdrops that address Bondi maybe being replaced with a Giuliani who is a proven producer in getting RICO convictions. Maybe this was an interim-appointment (Bondi) until Giuliani got his life straightened out. He's now able to keep some of his assets (home, etc) but still has the bulk of the initial award going to Ruby and her spawn. I cannot understand how that is still standing when there is video evidence showing those two and a guy doing the flash drive handoffs ... and video showing ruby running stacks of ballots through multiple times ...and pulling additional pre-completed ballots out from under that table in the Ga World Congress Ctr. Anyway, Trump doesn't have a problem turning over positions - look at how he turned over Secy State and AGs in Trump 1. I believe this is an engineered move. She hasn't really produced much of anything so far and, in the first administration, Trump was merciless on non-producers and insulted them via mean tweet before showing them the door (poor Jeff Sessions).

And lastly, on the Bondi nomination vetting, it is really surprising that this info wasn't brought up by anyone during the confirmation interviews. With all of the law clerks (and probably outside professional PI firms) researching things for these committees, you know that everything was found on her. Something is going on bigger than this. I wouldn't be surprised to see Giuliani or Mr. Clean (already an ambassador to somewhere), or even Sessions reprise that role.
