I am a Christian but not catholic. As an outsider to the catholics, I don't see how they use a few bible verses to snow ball into what they have going on. I think people believe in catholicism because of some kind of appeal to authority. It's so old and established over a long period so they must be right - kind of thing. For me this has no bearing on it being accurate or ordained by god.
It's pretty sad that the Catholic Catechism is thicker than the Bible itself. I guess they overlooked John 3:16. How many pages do you need to say this?

Catholics are taught that they are the true church, same as Mormons, in my opinion the true church lives and dwells in us when we accept Christ.
