Disobey God, and the end result is not good. The sad part is God didn't do it to them, they did it to themself. God says,"Behold I call heaven and Earth to witness against you this day, that I have set before you life and death, blessings and cursings, YOU CHOOSE" Choose life that you and your seed may live" (Deuteronomy) When they push God's word(which is life and light) away from themselves,,they are left with death and darkness.
But we all need to realize that compared to God, we are just as sinful as the lowliest pedophile child trafficker.
True, an important to know, as long as it's not an excuse to excuse our sin, with something like this "Oh well we're all sinners"
