"Fine"... the thing about AIDS is it takes years to onset. A larger exposure initially, or more exposure over time, can hasten the onset of immune system collapse but once exposed its just a waiting game. AIDS is an acquired syndrome of failing immune system, not a "you got infected" general thing. Later onset AIDS just means the exposure wasn't as large initially and immune system is taking longer to collapse.
Early on in Covid, even during lockdowns still, shingles cases were already skyrocketing. Shingles is caused by the chicken pox illness reasserting itself in someone that had it as a child but now has a failing immune system. Its beause your body never actually kills chicken pox - it hides inside nerve cells but your immune system holds it in check so it can't do anything. If immune system begins to fail it is no longer held dormant and comes back strong as ever, and we call it shingles.
Shingles is among the very first symptoms of AIDS - noticed long before any other symptoms, and often people who eventually get AIDS will get shingles years before they realize they have a compromised immune system diagnosis.
Shingles medical advertisements were purchased during covid as well. Quite timely to predict failing immunity collapse so accurately, and now we are seeing AIDS cases rising right on schedule with AIDS medication ads pushed at retirees... not exactly the historical demographic for tha AIDS epidemic before Covid.

While the medical profession is full of unbelievable miracles, HIV exposure life expectancy is roughly 10 years and same-year symptoms are basically not possible aside from maybe mild flu with first infection. Even finding out you have AIDs is typically between 5-10 years after infection, though by the time someone is syptomatic enough to have viral loads measurable for diagnosis they typically die untreated within 3 years.
You weren't told the truth. Either your friend had AIDS for years or even decades already, or it wasn't AIDS. If the only new thing was that mail order bride they should have been investigated and your friend deserved a toxicology autopsy.

Agreed, there's no way that sounds anything like AIDS. Doesn't even remotely sound like T cells involved! Could have been some hemhorragic fever, lassa, hanta, who knows. AZT wouldn't have mattered, it was only prescribed for HIV which wouldn't have been possible to diagnose that quickly if at all, plus if this was that long ago Fauci would have just scheduled it as an overdose to kill more victims regardless. He was using AZT to slaughter the gay community back then while spreading "you can get it by using public toilets or sharing the same house as someone infected!" nonsense - his MO hasn't really changed he did the same scaremongering silliness then as he repeated with covid.
Even if AIDS as Megyn is saying is an actual symptom, "mass die off" isn't a thing... at least not with HIV caused AIDS. Constant medication can now hold viral loads so low they are undetectable and the illness can't be easily passed. Something like that - fatal if not constantly medicated and absolutely without symptoms when medicine payments are fully up to date - is actually the pharma industry's holy grail. As Goldman said while Covid was still under development: "Is curing patients a sustainable business model?" Its certainly less sustainable than patients who will never be cured but will die if they aren't your customer.
