Weather Anomalies: check the storm in North Mexico; cloud tops reported at 58k’ (clouds typically don’t go higher than 40k’ unless volcanic). Also I see radar returns in the gulf that look like very slow moving explosions from 2 separate cells south of Galveston. Stuff I’ve never seen before

*Some people say they don’t see the gulf radar returns on certain apps.

*I may have jumped the gun on this one about the 58k’ cloud. Though unusual for a non tropical storm, cloud tops can get that high or higher for extremely strong convective storms.
